RISING IN RESEARCH
Where curiosity meets confidence—empowering the next generation of women in research.
Rising in Research is our newest initiative designed to expose young women around the country to careers in the sciences, particularly research. The program follows a mentorship style format through which selected students will each be paired with a mentor in their field of interest to discuss day-to-day lifestyles, journeys to that career path, and more. In addition, mentees will have the opportunity to attend various research skills workshops organized by the Rising in Research team.

Become a mentor!
If you are a woman working in a scientific research-adjacent career with a passion for mentoring, we would love to have you join our community of strong, inspiring individuals dedicated to empowering the next generation. As a mentor, you’ll commit to two hours per month over the course of 4-5 months, connecting with your mentee in a way that works best for you—whether through Zoom calls, emails, or even in-person. This is an opportunity to make a lasting impact on a young girl starting their research journey.
